This year 6.54 lakh male students and 5.65 lakh female students participated in the examination. HSC examinations are also being held in 7 (seven) centers abroad, where 262 students are appearing for the examinations.

The theoretical test will end on December 9, while the practical test will be held between June 11 and 20. Tests for the first half of the day will begin at 10:00 a.m. and run until 1:00 p.m., while tests for the second half of the day will begin at 2:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm. Students with disabilities will be given another 20 minutes to write their answers with the help of writers. Those with special needs (such as autism and Down syndrome) will get an extra 30 minutes and will be allowed to go with their parents, teachers or a helper.
